ConocoPhillips Becomes Phillips 66®

ConocoPhillips is pursuing the separation {repositioning} of the company’s Refining & Marketing and Exploration & Production businesses into two stand-alone, publicly traded corporations. The  completion date for the repositioning was effective as of May 1st, 2012.

The Refining & Marketing business, which includes the Lubricants division, is headquartered in Houston, Texas, and is now named Phillips 66. The name Phillips 66 was chosen because it has strong brand recognition and value, which allows the company to link their rich history to their exciting future. The name represents the independent spirit and drive that is part of Phillips 66. The Phillips 66®, Conoco®, 76® Lubricants and Kendall® Motor Oil brands are a part of the new company.

So what does this change mean to you, our valued customer? Although the company name is changing, the dedication toward and focus on our customers will not. In fact, we will continue our strategic drive to be the easiest supplier to do business with while focusing on operational excellence and reducing costs in your business as well as ours. Additionally, you can expect nothing less than excellent customer service, a knowledgeable and responsive sales force and, of course, best-in-class products.

We’re excited and we hope you are, too, as we become apart of the Phillips 66 Lubricants family.

Batavia, Ill.-Based Distributor Receives Distinguished Status for Excellence in Best Practices

BATAVIA (October 31, 2011)─ConocoPhillips Company, the fourth largest U.S. lubricants supplier, today announced that Feece Oil has achieved TOP TIER Marketer status for exceeding quality, safety and environmental operations standards.  The elite recognition is awarded to a select number of ConocoPhillips Lubricants distributors that have exceeded the company’s rigorous Marketer Operations Standards practices.  These standards were created to help protect the product quality of the ConocoPhillips Lubricants brands and improve the efficiency of safety and environmental programs, according to Gary Balzhiser, manager of commercial lubricants. Feece Oil is a third-generation family business that has been distributing high-quality industrial bulk and packaged lubricants and all grades of fuel since 1934.  It is a diversified petroleum supply company that offers lubricants from Conoco, Phillips 66 and Kendall Motor Oil for industrial, commercial, agricultural and passenger car use.

“We are very proud of Feece Oil and the exceptional work they have done,” said Balzhiser.  “They have proven to be extremely successful in achieving the high operation and quality standards of ConocoPhillips Lubricants and will be joining an elite group of Marketers from across North America that share this distinguished recognition.”

TOP TIER status was introduced to ConocoPhillips Lubricants distributors as part of new Marketer Operations Standards guidelines set by the company.  The standards are based on strict American Petroleum Institute (API) recommended practices set forth to ensure oil and lubricants distributors meet all expectations for product quality control and that all lubricants operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally acceptable manner.

“We are honored to be recognized for our efforts to improve safety and maintain product integrity,” said Mike Feece, of Feece Oil, “It helps us provide a better product & service to our customers.”
